else, we have to make adjustments in our daily routines to keep everyone safe.

We at A-1 Bookkeeping Services Inc are no different. During this whole pandemic we

have not closed our office even for a second, but we are taking all necessary

precautions to keep things running smoothly with little interruption to service. We too

have invented new ways of conducting business and to serve clients and their needs.

Here is what you need to know, at least during the pandemic and recovery phases.

Covid - 19 Office Policies

OFFICE ACCESS Our office is open but closed to the public. If you need to visit our office and wish to speak to someone, please visit during regular business hours, ring the office doorbell and we’ll meet you at the front door. In office face to face appointments are currently not available due to the lack of our ability to provide social distancing for clients and our staff. If you do not require a face to face discussion, you can always give us a call as most matters can be easily discussed over the phone, thus saving you time from traveling to our office. DOCUMENT DROP OFF Do you need to drop off documents? No matter if its bookkeeping or tax return processing, you can use our after hours drop box located to the left of the garage door. If you need to drop off documents and pickup at the same time, please visit during regular office hours, ring the doorbell and we’ll meet you at the front door. If your documentation is too large for the after hours drop box, please visit during regular office hours, ring the doorbell and we’ll assist. DROPPING OFF TAX RETURN(S) FOR PROCESSING Having your tax return processed has never been easier. If you are a returning client, use the provided Receipt Saver Envelope that we mailed to you in January. Are you a new client or don’t have your Receipt Saver Envelope? No problem, put all your receipts in an envelope, be sure your name and daytime contact number is clearly detailed, we’ll call you and get your return(s) processed quickly. UPLOADING YOUR TAX DOCUMENTS FOR PROCESSING If you prefer not to visit our office, providing you have digital images of all your tax documents, you can utilize our Client Upload Portal on our website to submit your documents electronically. The same procedures will be followed as if you dropped them off to our office. This will help to make the process easy and streamlined. SIGNING OFF TAX RETURN(S) As you know, every tax return must be signed off before it can be sent to CRA to be finalized. Your return can now be signed off either in person or by electronic signature. You can pay for the services via e-transfer from your bank or in person by debit. We’ll do all the heavy lifting for you and our tried and tested methods to get your tax return(s) signed off quickly and easily are ready when you are. All methods are private and confidential. IN PERSON APPOINTMENTS As mentioned above, we are not having any live face to face appointments during this pandemic, but if you still require an appointment and dropping off your items doesn’t work for you, then other options are still available. Facetime - We’ll talk to you virtually Skype - Another great way to save time and speak face to face Submit your documents using our Client Upload Portal for a no-contact experience. You can drop off your documents to our office at a prearranged appointment time, we’ll give you a pager, once your tax return is processed we’ll page you to come and sign and pay at the office door. As you can see, we’re doing our best to provide services to satisfy your bookkeeping, tax preparation and other needs. We’ve got you covered, as much as your face mask does.
